Have you written your Christmas cards yet?
Anyway, today I wanted to talk about spots. These little annoying things we like to call spots have really effected me lately. I can't seem to get rid of them! Then I gain more and more. It ridiculous. I've been fighting the spot battle for a while now and I wanted to share my tips with you. So we can fight the battle together!
First off, you need to make sure you are washing your face, morning and night. I use a specific face wash that tackles spots. This will really help to unclog your pores, stop new spots from appearing. Then make sure you cleanse you face (Remove dirt already on your face), tone (Close pores once cleansed or washed, to stop more dirt from getting in) and exfoliate your skin (Remove dead skin, deeply clean your pores.) and moisturise (To stop you skin from becoming too dry) I don't suggest doing all that in that order, and only exfoliate a few times a week. If you are unsure to what each is, I suggest clicking on a link I've added below. Doing all this will really help.

Another thing that effect your spots is stress, the more stressed you are the more likely you are you get spots. Relax! Try doing yoga, or meditating. Solve any problems you have in life. This really effects your well being too.
There are many different research studies as to if eating does effect how many spots you have or not. I believe it does to some extend. For me personally, greasy foods really make me break out. Others say sugary food makes them break out. As it is eating healthily and well will give you many benefits, not just for the amount of spots you have, but also to your entire body. So my biggest suggestion would be to watch what you are eating. If you have recently broken out and want to get rid of those pesky spots I suggest eating 'clean'. Lots of fruit and vegetables, drink lots of wash. Really detox your body. The vitamins in the fruit and vegetables should really help too.

Foods which really help my spots are:
- Green tea - The most effective for me
- Sweet pepper - I've heard its actually really good at fighting spots
- Water - Drink lots!
- Eggs - I've heard the type of vitamins in them should help reduce spots
- Citrus fruit (lemons, limes and oranges) - Not only are the vitamins in the fruit really got for your immune but also you face. Often spot fighting products contain citrus fruits.
In conclusion to reduce spots, you need to think about your diet, make sure you are washing, cleansing, toning and exfoliating your skin. This helps reduce and stop spots.
But one other option which you can always explore is looking buying spot creams/ products to apply to those big ones that just won't budge. I have recently brought a new type of spot cream, as I believe my skin may have gotten used to my old one. It just was not working anymore.
Before I forget.
DO NOT POP THEM!
This makes them 10times worse! They can become redder and even get infected. Try and fight the urge to pop them, just cover them in creams.
